Thank you for your interest in the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Black Beaver Chapter, NSDAR! Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR. Where do I begin? We will help you navigate the application process, including genealogical research if needed. Our registrar is willing to assist you and answer any questions you may have. What we do We invite you to attend one of our meetings to learn more about DAR. Chapter meetings are generally held in the afternoon on the first Tuesday of the month, from January through April and September through December. We are an active chapter with many exciting things going on throughout the year. We welcome your interest. Contact our chapter regent for more information. |

- hand out flags, flag code booklets, and information at the Cleveland County Fair
- support three third grade classrooms through our Community Classroom Committee
- participate in commemorative events like the National DAR Day of Service, Constitution Week, Veterans Day, and more
- join together with other chapters for Wreaths Across America
- volunteer for the Norman Earth Day Festival
- honor Women in American History
- lend our support to organizations like WildCare Oklahoma and the Women's Resource Center
- celebrate with new citizens at a Naturalization Ceremony in Oklahoma City
- present awards to University of Oklahoma ROTC cadets
- coordinate with and assist the Minute Men Children of the American Revolution Society in Norman, Oklahoma
- recognize Flag Day by taking items to the Veterans Corner
- promote patriotism, literacy, conservation, and women's issues in our local community
- support our veterans and service members
